The Codex Sinaiticus

Live and Learn. I thought the Codex Sinaiticus Greek manuscript was in the British Library, but actually parts of it are located in four different places!

• Most of it (347 leaves) is in the British Library in London, England.
• 43 sheets (what Tischendorf removed from the Monastery) are at the University of Leipzig Library in Leipzig, Germany.
• Parts of 6 leaves are in the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg, Russia.
• 18 leaves and fragments are at St. Catherine’s Monastery at St. Catherine, Sinai Peninsula, Egypt.
