The Clown Anchors of CNN

The Clown Anchors of CNN have every right to their own opinions, but they do not comprehend the basic issues and understandings of the Christian faith, and should not bloviate as if they do.

Catholic Chris Cuomo probably does not understand the teaching of his own church, if he even cares to, opining, “If you believe in one another and if do the right thing for yourself and your community, things will get better in this country. You don’t need help from above. It’s within us.” Sounds to me that Cuomo could use a great deal of help from above instead of looking within himself!

I-do-not-know-the-religious-affiliation-of Don Lemon at a different time told the sympathetic Cuomo, “Jesus Christ, if that’s who you believe in, Jesus Christ, admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this earth.” Lemon probably spoke from his heart his sincerely-held belief, but that clearly is not the “admittedly” held teaching of Jesus Christ, the Bible, or thousands of Christian believers. Beyond all that, his point that men like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson should not be “deified” because even Jesus was “not perfect” is boundless nonsense. No one who believes Jesus was and is perfect believes that Washington and Jefferson were.

Maybe CNN just has to say crazy stuff to be noticed nowadays.
