"Infants Born Alive" bill

In the Congressional halls of the state of Florida, SB 1636/HB 1129 has been put forth to require medical care and legal protection for a baby if a botched abortion results in the birth of a live child. Re these bills, the Florida House of Representatives heard testimony and positions on HB 1129, called the  “Infants Born Alive” bill. Planned Parenthood, unsurprisingly, opposes the bill. A Planned Parenthood representative questioned by state representatives said that if a child were born alive, the mother and the physician should decide its fate.

It is not surprising that the camel nose under the tent with abortion will lead to the abortion of live babies outside the womb. "Ethics" professors like Peter Singer at Princeton University have been pushing such ideas for quite some time.
