- Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
- Jesus saith unto him … what is that to thee? follow thou me.
Often we love meddling in the matters of other men (cf. 1 Peter 4:15). We wonder and worry about what others are doing, could do, or should do. Jesus told Peter to not worry about what John would do, but to concentrate on his own fellowship and “followship.”
Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth (Romans 14:4). Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2) in his own matters before God rather than be a busybody in the matters of other men.
