Easter’s Coming
We approach a day called Easter, when many Christians and much of the world celebrate a day related to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Included in this celebration are various and sundry events that have no connection to his resurrection (e.g. Easter egg hunts) or a contrived connection to it (e.g. sunrise services). Amidst is all, with true hearts, let us glory in our Lord’s triumphant resurrection. Let us remember that with every baptism, we proclaim the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:4-6). In the memorial Supper we imply His resurrection through showing the Lord’s death till he come (1 Corinthians 11:26). EVERY first day of EVERY week should be a poignant reminder of the lesson of the empty tomb – “He is not here, He is risen!”
