I never been big on the space program -- even remember when a lot of common sense folks around here the whole thing was fake. But I am intrigued that space veterans from Neil Armstrong (the first man to walk on the moon) to Eugene Cernan (the last man to walk on the moon) oppose the Obama administration's space program. "We have come to the unanimous conclusion that this budget proposal presents no challenges, has no focus, and in fact is a blueprint for a mission to 'nowhere,'" Cernan said.

" A mission to nowhere," could aptly describe the government's attempt for any type of plan. While we all know that some type of government is better than none at all at the expense of anarchy, when has the government actually had a breakthrough plan?
Lest we forget, the space program was started as a result of the Cold War, and much has changed since then. I would believe that space exploration should be the last thing on a priority list, given the enormous problems we are facing as a nation at this time. Having some of the space pioneers to give it a bad review should be reason enough.
