I don't think so. Jesus kept the law to a jot and a tittle himself. I think he was rebuking the Pharisees for their elaborations on the law (the Talmud?), and teaching "commandments of men" as commandments of God. In short, or getting bogged down in the letter and ignoring the spirit.
Well, no one else may answer, but I agree with you. I think sometimes we may statements that sound as if we mean that the Pharisees were too strict in keeping the law. But they were actually too strict in miskeeping the law.
