What seems to be a curious human trait, or perhaps a curious Baptist trait:
Some modern Baptists who are so strict that they only recognize contemporary churches that are just like theirs as Baptist, will in history recognize all sorts of dissenting sects as Baptist in belief.
Some modern Baptists who are very liberal in what they in contemporary churches will recognize as Baptist, will in history exclude every dissenting sect outside of certain English Separatists from being Baptist in belief.

Adam, I sort of feel the same way. I guess I just observe it not noticing what to do with it.
