Anytime I hear cotton mentioned, I immediately think of my grandparents and their many stories involving a sometimes not so pleasant subject. "From can see until can't."

Neil, my mother used to sing "how tedious and tasteless the hours" when picking cotton/working in the cotton fields. I don't think she was thinking exactly what John Newton was when he wrote it!
