In Adam’s fall

1. Die we all in Adam’s fall.
Sickness, shame, and sorrow, too,
All within, because of sin—
What we are, and say, and do.

2. Mark it well, the Bible tells,
“The wages of sin is death.”
So we must return to dust
Giving up our life and breath.

3. There upon a judgment throne
Sits the Lord the righteous one.
Thus we’re called to answer all
In and through God’s only Son.

4. Death and hell, consider well!
When the book of life is scanned
Let us see, the only plea—
Is in Jesus Christ we’re found.
