Beliefs and notions

If we are willing to water down any of our beliefs, then that “belief” may only be an idea or notion. 

Here’s one example where the rubber meets the road. If we are “politically loud” in our belief about a person only using the bathroom of one’s DNA or true birth gender, but then acquiesce to men using the women’s bathroom at a Sacred Harp singing, is our belief really a belief or merely just an idea?

I think the answer is obvious.
