I guess this would not have the political ramifications of something such as gay marriage, as you mentioned.<br /><br />I also cannot help but think of the 2000 Presidential election when I think about tobacco. Of course Al Gore was one of the biggest proponents of tobacco regulation when many jumped on the bandwagon. The man who has his own lear jet and lives in a multi-million dollar mansion. So much for being concerned with pollutants. If you will remember, his advisors warned him to be careful or it could cost him some closely contested states. And it did. He lost Kentucky and West Virginia by narrow margins. Both states which heavily rely on tobacco production . If he had won either one, the election was his. Then, there would have been no controversy in Florida to drag on for over a month.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
